This Summer, Teach Your Child to Take Responsibility for Their Own Oral Health

Attention Parents: Now that summer is finally here, we understand that you’re given a sort of  “break” from all the running around that usually accompanies the school year. HOWEVER, that being said, we urge you to do one last thing before you get too complacent in your newfound freedom, and that is: schedule your child’s 6-month check-up before the end-of-summer rush. By doing it now, you can rest assured throughout the school year knowing that your child has a healthy smile, and not have to worry about them missing school to get them into our office for their twice-yearly check up.

School-aged children go through a lot of changes each and every year, especially in their mouths. They’re growing teeth, losing teeth, learning to brush and floss and ultimately, learning to take care of themselves. Because of this, it’s important that we monitor their progress and help them along this path to independence. By being there for them every step of the way, we can make sure that they grow up to appreciate the benefits of great oral health as well as grow up with a smile they can be proud of.
