Extractions

Dental extractions involve the removal of teeth. This procedure is typically performed when a tooth is severely decayed, damaged, infected, or impacted (unable to fully emerge from the gum line). Extractions may also be necessary to create space for orthodontic treatment or to remove wisdom teeth that are causing problems. There are two types of extractions: simple extractions, where the tooth is visible and can be easily removed, and surgical extractions, which involve the removal of teeth that are impacted or require more complex techniques. After an extraction, proper post-operative care is essential for healing and preventing complications.
