Fluorosis

Fluorosis is a cosmetic condition that affects the appearance of teeth. It occurs due to excessive intake of fluoride during tooth development, typically in childhood. Fluoride is a mineral that helps prevent tooth decay, but when consumed in excess, it can cause white or brown stains on the teeth. Mild cases of fluorosis may not require treatment, but severe cases can be treated with various cosmetic dental procedures, such as teeth whitening, veneers, or dental bonding.
